I would say have a platoon with Hariston and Headley in left. Headley seems more poised for a position change than Kouz

I'm not sure if Petco Park's got enough of a sea wall built around it to handle the flood of hypocrisy that would come with the signing of Bonds. Fans will support the guy if he plays well, which just cracks me up considering two seasons ago they were throwing syringes at him.

A consistent corner outfielder's a consistent corner outfielder, though, and if the price (and I'm not just talking about money) is right, he'd be a great fit. Question I have, though, is how much of his heart will be into it once he gets past 764 (his magic number, born in July of 1964), is away from the Bay Area, away from the adoring fans, may see an even greater decline in his health, etc.

This is one of those situations where you find out if people are fans of a team itself, or what that team's made up of.

Just say no to Barry! I am not as high on Headley as everyone else. He did not impress me during his stints with the big club and he has a year at AA. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

Another great post though.

Still, I see no chance in Barry ever ending up in SD. Dierkes himself says Bonds would have to sign for about $ 12 mill/year - I doubt he would take that, I really do. Especially if he can stay in the SF area (Oakland). And then there is Petco of course. All in all, Oakland is by far the more likely destination.

Personally, I think the Pads will go the Headley to 3rd, Kouz to left route. Headley is just too good not to trade but not to call up. And Kouz can handle LF.
